  Divisional Information

Kindergarten

This introductory division is designed for Kindergarten boys and girls. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of playing basketball such as dribbling, passing, shooting lay-ups and court awareness the first half hour. Instruction takes place in clinic format every Friday. Participants will play with both a modified ball (26.5) and a 7ft. basket height.

Biddy Amateur (1st grade)

This division is for 1st Grade boys and girls. Coed teams will be introduced to team play, team uniforms, referees and coaches. Each team will have a one-hour practice once a week and will play a game on Saturdays. This league incorporates a playtime rule; all participants will receive equal playing time throughout the game. End of season playoffs will not be held. There will be an end of season Hot Shots tournament with finals held at the Classic. This league plays with a modified ball (28.5) and the basketball goal is 8ft. Games will have one referee whom, along with coaches, will assist with instruction during the games.

Biddy Professional (2nd grade)

This division is for 2nd Grade boys and girls. Coed teams will be introduced to team play, team uniforms, referees and coaches. Each team will have a one-hour practice once a week and will play a game on Saturdays. This league incorporates a playtime rule; all participants will receive equal playing time throughout the game. End of season playoffs will not be held. There will be an end of season Hot Shots tournament. This league plays with a modified ball (28.5) and the basketball goal is 8ft. Games will have one referee whom, along with coaches, will assist with instruction during the games.

3rd & 4th Grade Boys

This division is for 3rd and 4th grade boys. There will be a separate league for boys. Each team will be formed through the draft process. Each team will have a one hour practice once a week along with games on Saturdays. This recreational league incorporates a playtime rule; all participants will play at least half of the first half and the second half. Participants will play in approximately 8 scheduled games. This league plays with a modified ball (28.5)and the basketball goal is 9ft. Games will have one referee. Standings are NOT kept a blind draw double elimination tournament will be conducted at the conclusion of the regular season with the finals held during the Classic.

3rd & 4th Grade Girls

This division is for 3rd and 4th grade girls. There will be a separate league for girls. Each team will be formed through the draft process. Each team will have a one hour practice once a week along with games on Saturdays. This recreational league incorporates a playtime rule; all participants will play at least half of the first half and the second half. Participants will play in approximately 8 scheduled games. This league plays with a modified ball (28.5) and the basketball goal is 9ft. Games will have one PIAA referee and one youth referee. Standings are NOT kept. A blind draw double elimination tournament will be conducted at the conclusion of the regular season with the finals held during the Classic.

5th & 6th Grade Boys

This division is for all 5th and 6th grade boys. There will be a separate league for boys. Each time will be formed through the draft process. Each team will have a one hour practice once a week along with games on Saturdays. This recreational league incorporates a playtime rule; all participants will play at least half of the first half and the second half. Participants will play in approximately 10 scheduled games officiated by a referees. This league plays with a regulation ball (29.5) and the basketball goal is 10ft. Games will have one referee. Standings are NOT kept. A blind draw double elimination tournament will be conducted at the conclusion of the regular season with the finals held during the Classic.

5th & 6th Grade Girls

This division is for all 5th and 6th grade girls. There will be a separate league for girls. Each time will be formed through the draft process.
